About TheBettingDude: who the Dude is and who pays for this

Short version: this site is where I sort the prediction apps, sites, tipsters, channels and bookmakers worth your time from the ones that aren’t. No affiliate links, no paid rankings. If something is first in a numbered ranking, it scored highest.

Who the Dude is

“The Dude” is the editorial voice of TheBettingDude: one plain-spoken person who bets, reads the small print, and tells you straight what he found.

I’m not a professional gambler and I won’t pretend to be one. What I know is how prediction products work, what their numbers mean, and where the marketing stops matching the product. That’s the angle every verdict on this site is written from.

Who publishes the site

The operator of TheBettingDude.com takes no bets, holds nobody’s money and earns nothing from any bet you place. You can reach the operator at contact@thebettingdude.com.

Featured placements

Some lists have a block labelled “Featured” above them. Those are placements picked by the site. They carry no score and no rank, and they sit outside the numbered list. The review methodology has the rules.

If you think a product is ranked too high, tell me why at contact@thebettingdude.com. If you’re right, the score changes.

How the site makes money

Right now, it doesn’t. There is one planned income stream, and it is a boring one:

No affiliate links. Every outbound link is a plain link. No tracking codes, no commission when you sign up anywhere. The site only counts how often each link is used, as a daily total with nothing about you attached.
No paid rankings. Scores follow the published methodology. Money never enters a score or the order of a list.
Sponsored placement, later, always labelled. Once the site has real traffic, a company can buy a slot marked “Sponsored” that sits outside the numbered ranking. Details are on the business inquiries page.

Bookmakers are described here, never promoted. You won’t find bonus codes or welcome offers on this site.

What you can expect from a review

No full reviews are published yet. Today every ranked listing has a short verdict and a provisional score from desk research. When reviews arrive, these are the rules:

The verdict first, the reasons after.
A “what I didn’t like” section in every review. Every product has one.
Facts I haven’t checked myself are left out, and scores stay provisional until the full review is done. Nothing is dressed up as tested.
A “last reviewed” date on every page, and corrections that are dated too.

A word about betting itself

Predictions are opinions about a game. Nobody, including me and including any app listed here, can promise you a profit. Bet only money you’ve already decided to spend, and only if you’re 18 or older (21 where your law says so).
