Which betting podcasts are worth an hour of your week?

The best betting podcasts listed here were picked for what you learn from them more than for the picks they hand out. They’re for people who like to listen while they drive, run or cook, and who want to get a bit sharper about betting along the way.

Most of the list is American. Circles Off leans towards education and numbers. The Action Network Podcast, Ringer Wise Guys and Sports Gambling Podcast are lighter and preview the week’s games. For UK and Irish racing there’s The Racing Postcast and Nick Luck Daily, and the Matchbook Betting Podcast covers football, racing and the NFL. The Business of Betting Podcast interviews people inside the industry and gives no tips at all.

Podcasts don’t keep a checkable record of selections, so accuracy never applies and five criteria carry the weight: transparency, coverage, ease of use, price and support. The scoring method sits on the methodology page. For now the marks are provisional: I worked from public information and haven’t reviewed anything hands-on.

A lot of podcast talk assumes you know the jargon. When hosts mention closing line value, juice or units, the betting glossary has each term in a paragraph. For the ideas that come up in nearly every episode, read value betting and bankroll management. Prefer video? See the betting YouTube channels.

A confident voice isn’t a record. Most bettors lose over time. 18+, or 21+ in most US states.

Betting podcasts: common questions

  • What is the best betting podcast for beginners?

Circles Off is a good place to start if you follow US sports. Professional bettors talk about how betting works in practice: limits, shopping for the best line, managing a bankroll. It's more education than picks. If you just want something light for the commute, Ringer Wise Guys (formerly The Ringer Gambling Show) is entertainment first.

  • Can I make money following podcast picks?

I wouldn't count on it. By the time an episode is recorded, edited and in your feed, the price the hosts liked has often gone. Hosts also rarely keep a public record, so you can't check how they've done. Listen for the reasoning and the way they think about prices, not for the selections.

  • Are there good podcasts for horse racing betting?

Yes. The Racing Postcast, part of the Racing Post's podcast feed, has the paper's writers previewing the big UK and Irish meetings. Nick Luck Daily is a daily racing news show where betting angles come second. Both are free. Neither publishes a tracked record, so treat the tips as informed opinion.

  • Are betting podcasts sponsored by bookmakers?

Many are, and some are produced by a betting company outright. The Matchbook Betting Podcast, for example, is made by the Matchbook exchange. That doesn't make the guests worse, but it's worth remembering who pays for the show when the conversation turns to where you should bet.

  • Which betting podcast doesn't give tips at all?

The Business of Betting Podcast. It's weekly interviews with bettors, operators and other industry people about how the business works, with no picks. If you're curious about what happens on the other side of the counter, it's the most useful listen on this list.
